The national theatre is one of Warsaws most important locations for classical music, and has the highest capacity for a theatre in Europe (1.900).

The classical frontage of the theatre was destroyed during the second world war. It was rebuilt and delights its visitors today with antique columns and artful sculptures.
There is also a sculpture infront of the building of the theatre founder Stanislaw Moniuszko.
